经过近五个小时的行驶，下午到达加德满都，牛在路上闲逛，交警戴着黑口罩在乌烟瘴气、交通拥挤混乱的道路上指挥交通，摩托车多如牛毛，汽车多为80年代印度车型，加油站排队等待加油的摩托车如潮水般，但是秩序井然。巴桑熟练的驾驶着越野车，在狭窄拥挤的泰米尔商业区穿梭，把我们带到了凤凰宾馆。此时海拨已降低至1200米左右，天气闷热。空气混浊。车水马龙。

是中国人开的，里面还设有川菜餐厅，估计你吃一两顿尼餐就会怀念中餐了；住这里，和国内来旅游的朋友相互间的交流，吃住都很方便，这里还代办国内物流，如果买了很多纪念品，可以托运回国；旅馆里还有无线宽带，虽然上线人多，网速慢，但是在旅途中，还能奢求什么？很多朋友出国都没有办理国际电话漫游，这里吧台提供的座机国际话费也很便宜。
房间条件简单，但是能冲凉，卫生整洁，每天都有几位尼泊尔妇女蹲在地上不停的清洁卫生。
稍作休息，大家相约出去逛了。首先要拿一张宾馆名片，上面有地图和电话，以免语言不通找不到住地。

阿冰英语不错，这几天在加德满都问路，打车，还价，吃饭都跟她走了。首先打车来到猴庙，以为这里对中国人不收费，呵呵，门票200尼币，鸟瞰加德满都。

这里是亚洲最古老的佛教圣迹斯瓦扬布寺，被西方人习惯称为猴庙，因为这里到处是被奉为神灵的猴子。

猴庙的正式名称是苏瓦杨布，也通称四眼天神庙。是尼泊尔
的标志性建筑，它雄伟壮观，位于加德满都以西的一个小山顶上，是尼泊尔著名的佛
教圣地， 在寺庙附近常年驻有有成群的猴子。
苏瓦扬布塔有2500年的历史，苏瓦扬布意思是“自体发光”，好像和加都谷地的
诞生传说有关。金色的塔身和巨大的佛眼，居高临下注视着脚下的芸芸众生。它虽然
没有博达哈佛塔巨大，但历史更悠久。据说，这是世界上最古老的四眼天神庙。
是尼泊尔最受欢迎也最容易辨认的标志
之一。这里是佛教徒的一个重要朝圣地，相传释迦牟尼曾亲临此地。现在已经被列为
世界文化遗产。

猴庙正面的石阶，非常陡峭，下了些雨，湿湿滑滑的，台阶太窄，一只脚还要侧着才能踩住，有些向下栽的感觉，猴子还在旁边不停的穿梭，这样走下猴庙还真有些紧张。

走下猴庙，已是黄昏，山下狭窄的道路上车辆行人熙熙攘攘，不时有行人友好的冲我们微笑，我们决定步行回泰米尔区的宾馆，感受一下加德满都的街景风情，凭着坐出租车来的印象，边走边看，路边摆小吃摊的尼泊尔少年，热情招呼我们，咖喱是他们的主要调料，那就尝尝他的手艺吧，说实话，这些民俗小吃我们真的吃不惯。

7月4日，我们重点是加德满都的杜巴广场；杜巴广场（Durbar Square），尼泊尔语中，杜巴（Durbar)是王宫的意思。杜巴广场是尼泊尔首都加德满都最有名的广场，也是观赏尼泊尔寺庙建筑的好地方。这里囊括了尼泊尔十六世纪至十九世纪之间的古迹建筑，广场上总共有五十座以上的寺庙和宫殿。
加德满都杜巴广场是旧市区的枢纽，是个小贩密布，游人闲人不绝的广场，其中庙宇与古迹五十多处。 大致上可粗分为四个区域：活女神庙、猴神庙、贾格那许庙及塔蕾珠神庙。
